He triple-majored at UC San Diego in Physiological Psychology, Mammalian Physiology, and Biochemistry and Cell Biology. Dr. Carman attended George Washington University School of Medicine and completed surgical training at Washington Hospital Center, Cedars-Sinai, and a two-year Plastic Surgery Fellowship at USC-affiliated Rancho Los Amigos.
